Slon: Dekonstrukcija (Elephant: Deconstruction)

This work was created in the final hours before installing the Honeymoon exhibition. Originally, the central piece of the show was a literal triptych—an elephant being offered an apple. But in the last moment, something in me resisted its weight, its certainty.

Slon: Dekonstrukcija is a dismantling of that original image. The elephant, once solid and symbolic, is now airborne—fragmented, abstracted, reduced to its parts: desire, gesture, offering, memory.
Although it didn’t appear in the final exhibition, this version became my favorite. It speaks more to the fragility of symbolism, to the absurd weight of meaning, and to the quiet refusal to be fully understood.
